What this site is

BestSolitaireGames is an informational reference about card games. It is provided for general interest and carries no warranty that it is complete or free of error.

Accuracy

Every game's rules are checked against a published source, which is cited on that game's page — see the editorial policy. That said, published sources sometimes disagree with one another, particularly on older and less common variants, and rules vary between implementations. Where a source and a popular app differ, this site follows the source and records which one. Treat any page here as a description of one documented ruleset rather than the only correct one.

No gambling

Nothing on this site involves wagering, real-money play, or the purchase of anything. Where a game's history involves gambling — Canfield's does — that is recorded as historical fact.

Content and trademarks

The written descriptions, comparisons and guides on this site are its own. Card game rules themselves are not owned by anyone. Any game names that are trademarks of their respective owners are used descriptively; this site is not affiliated with or endorsed by any publisher.
